 On April 11, 2019, Professor Felicitas Opwis, Associate Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies at Georgetown University, presented for the Alwaleed bin Talal Seminar in Islamic Studies on al-Ghazālī's use of syllogistic logic in developing the concept of legal analogy (qiyās) in his legal theory. This lecture was co-sponsored by the Program in Islamic Law at Harvard Law School.
